Helping the Homeless With ME/CFS
A life with a debilitating illness like ME/CFS is already challenging enough. But when poverty makes it hard to buy the bare necessities of life, patients face a constant struggle just to survive. They may have no choice but to sacrifice their health care to pay for food, housing and basic hygiene supplies.
Fortunately, there are people working to help. AMMES has kept many people with ME in their homes by keeping them current on their rent. But, that’s not the only way they are making a difference.
